Two lookout towers will temporarily be installed along the Vlieland dike in the spring and summer. The strengthening and widening of the Waddendijk can be followed on the towers.
The towers will be located at the end of the Cornelis Trompglop and the MA de Ruyterglop and will be installed by contractor Boskalis. He wants it in April to start with the renovation of the dike.
The towers are 2.5 meters high and will be located on the village side in front of the dike. They are an alternative to walking on the dike, which is not possible during the work. The lookout towers will be removed again in the autumn. The dike widening must then be completed.
