“Tempelhof Sounds Presents” has been canceled – and with it performances by Bon Iver, Fever Ray and Holly Humberstone

The event had to be canceled for “production-related reasons”, according to a statement.

The “Tempelhof Sounds Presents” has been cancelled. The event was supposed to take place on June 2nd in the Berlin Waldbühne as a one-time, one-day replacement for the “Tempelhof Sounds Festival” – which is on pause this year. For “production-related reasons”, however, this cannot be realized after all.

“Unfortunately we have to inform you that the Tempelhof Sounds Presents cannot take place this year for production reasons. We thought about it for a long time and tried everything in our power, but in the end it just wasn’t to be. Tickets that have already been purchased can be returned at all advance booking offices. We continue to work on bringing the Tempelhof Sounds back to you in 2024. With the Newsletter follow all updates!” says the official statement about the cancellation. Bon Iver, Fever Ray and Holly Humberstone were originally supposed to perform on the outdoor stage. There is no concrete information about the festival next year.

Tempelhof Sounds celebrated its successful debut last year with acts such as Muse, The Strokes, Interpol and The Libertines. The former Berlin Tempelhof Airport served as the venue, but this year the premises were made available to refugees from Ukraine.
