It has been fourteen years since he left MOC. Offerhaus came to Telstar in professional football via HVV Hollandia, sc Heerenveen, FC Emmen, Koninklijke HFC and Quick Boys. To date, he is the only professional footballer that the Midwoud club has produced. “Of course, they have to decide for themselves whether they get inspiration from it. I especially hope that they are looking forward to it as much as I was at that age.”
Best memory of MOC
“I remember in the E-tjes, when I still scored a lot of goals through half the field,” says Offerhaus about his fondest memories of MOC. “The moment we started playing football on an entire field, I no longer scored as often. I also became a defender because I scored less often.”
Due to the international break, Telstar is free this weekend. The next competition match is Saturday April 4. Then FC Groningen visits Velsen-Zuid, kick-off is at 6.45 pm. That match can of course be followed live via our live blog.
