Telstar had a hard time against AZ, but held out for a long time. Until they unfortunately scored two own goals in the second half. “The feeling of disappointment is predominant, but the feeling of pride is certainly present,” says Correia. For the first time since 1992, Telstar reached the semi-finals. Telstar player Guus Offerhaus also shares that feeling. “We could really have created something historic. That realization was really there.”
