Cas Dijkstra will stay longer at Telstar. The option in the contract of the 20-year-old midfielder from Hippolytushoef is being lifted, reported trainer and technical director Andries Jonker. Dijkstra was in possession of an expiring contract.
“He is developing well here. He has come from very, very far,” says Jonker about the talented midfielder. “He has developed into a basic player and it gets better every time. So we have confidence in the man.”

Dijkstra is now in his third season in Velsen-South. In 2019 he was snatched from the amateurs of Hollandia. In his first season he didn’t get to play much, but since last season he has been an indispensable force in Jonker’s team.
