Telekom share closes firmer, T-Mobile US share in green: Telekom subsidiary T-Mobile increases the number of contract customers sharply

The company announced on Wednesday evening in Bellevue that this had increased by 1.82 million net. Over the year as a whole, a good 6.4 million additional contract customers were registered. That was slightly more than the 6.2 to 6.4 million that had been promised.

In US trading on the NASDAQ, T-Mobile shares temporarily rose by 3.32 percent to $144.60. Papers from the parent company Deutsche Telekom ultimately rose by 1.61 percent to EUR 19.53 via XETRA on Thursday.

T-Mobile US spoke of record growth in customer numbers. According to estimates, the company has recorded the most new customers among US providers for the eighth year in a row, it said. At the end of 2022, the company had a total of 113.6 million customers.

T-Mobile US took over rival Sprint 2020 in order to dig the water out of US top dogs Verizon and AT&T. The USA has become by far the largest part of the group for the Bonn company in recent years.
