Teenage escapes after seven years of imprisonment and abuse by mother and stepfather

An 18 -year -old girl from Gloucester Township, New Jersey, was able to escape in the United States after she was imprisoned by her mother and stepfather for seven years. She was physically and sexually abused for years. For example, the girl had to sleep in a dog bed and put her needs in a bucket. The authorities describe the matter as “heartbreaking” and “despicable.”
