The number one striker in the Owls Teemu Pukki stepped in front of the media at the national team camp in Helsinki.

The eagle had returned to his homeland just right in the middle of the puck heat.

– Congratulations to Leo. It was great to see that carnival gift, Pukki sent his greetings to the World Cup heroes.

The striker’s own season didn’t go so well. Norwich continued its chronic elevator business, and this spring was again hit by a drop below the series.

– This was certainly one of the most difficult periods of my career, both mentally and physically. There were so many losses that it was already annoying to play.

– The goal was to stay in the Premier League, and it didn’t happen. It was disappointing.

Return to Norwich

Norwich holds on to their appearance with their gold piece. Of course, the transfer window for football has not even opened yet, so it is impossible to say whether the management of the Canary Birds would be willing to listen to offers from a Finn.

The buck himself does not know how to assess his future in more detail.

– I want to play at the highest possible level, and I have also been able to make a profit in the Premier League, Pukki said.

– The club used the option, so I’ll be back there before next season. That is the situation at the moment.

Buck finished exactly as many league goals (11) as on his first Premier League visit. However, Finns do not want to emphasize their own success.

– I am happier with this than my first Premier League season. That’s when the late spring went on.

– However, I’m a team player. I can’t be happy when we fall out of the series.

Shortened holiday

Now there is an extremely short summer vacation ahead. The World Cup tournament in the late autumn will bring forward the start of all professional series, and the first round of the Championship Series will be played as early as July.

Norwich Manager Dean Smith has defined the end of the players’ holiday as early as Midsummer Friday, but of course Pukki, who are on national team assignment, Grant Hanley (Scotland), Milot Rashica (Kosovo), Max Aarons (Under the age of 21 in England) and Christos Tzolis (Greek under-21s) receive a couple of weeks extension for their holidays.

– I am mainly in Finland. My sister and one of my friends are having a wedding, so they have to go to it. Quite often I dedicate my vacation to meeting relatives and friends. I like to be in Finland as much as possible, Pukki told Iltalehti

– I hope I have time to relax a bit and get my thoughts completely out of football.

“Tough start”

The goat still has to wait for the start of the summer holiday for a couple of weeks, as Uefa has blocked as many as four matches in the League of Nations in just 11 days. Finland will face Bosnia and Herzegovina twice and Montenegro and Romania once before the football season is finally in the package.

– I haven’t thought about football at all for a week. I just spent time with my family and tried to get some strength for these too. This, too, is a pretty tough start.

– At the moment it feels like a tough performance if four nineties should pull.

The Finnish contract will start on Saturday at the summer Olympic Stadium against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The last time Suvi started a football match was at Stikika in 2015, when Hungary went to claim the World Cup qualifiers with a 1-0 away win.

A couple of days later, the Football Association gave the head coach Mixu for Paatelainen sack.

This year, the same danger is not because Rive Kanervan the position in the rudder of the Owls is cast in concrete.

– We hope that the weather will be nice and that we will get a lot of audience. They give us a lot of strength, Pukki decided.
