The retailer Tedi GmbH & Co. KG appoints two new managers with which the international growth strategy is to be promoted.
At the beginning of February, Thomas Lend took over the position of the head of personnel and corporate security, Tedi said on Thursday. In addition, Peter Eszényi returned to the Dortmund non-food discounter at the beginning of the month. He is now active as managing director of branch network development.
Lend was most recently active for the Austrian newspaper and magazine publisher Mediaprint Group as Group Human Resources Director. He has many years of experience in human resources and has expertise in the fields of transformation and change management as well as the digitization of human resources processes.
“As an experienced HR Executive, he will support us to manage the increasing challenges as a great employer in the European non-food discount trade, and brings a breath of fresh air for a modern working world with young, steadily growing teams,” said Tedi CEO Petar Burazin.
Eszényi is an old acquaintance at Tedi. From 2017 to 2019 he was active for the company as managing director of international and member of the management. In addition to TEDI, the graduate merchant also gained experience with the supermarkets Lidl and Plus, at the Austrian hardware store Baumax and the German textile discounter Kik. Most recently, Eszényi worked as a CEO with the EuroDredit insurer Euro Delkredere. In his new role at Tedi, he follows Fabian Kampa, who “leaves the company at his own request”.
“With Peter Eszényi, we have been able to regain an internationally experienced expansion specialist who will drive our European expansion even more,” said Burazin.
