Tim Sweeney, the founder and CEO of Pelitalo Epic Games, has accused well-known leaders of the technology industry of supporting the next president of the United States, Donald Trump. Many others have also been concerned about the relationship between the next president and the tech industry, Techspot tells.
Several technology companies such as Google and Apple have agreed to donate $1 million for Trump’s inauguration. According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, it is a personal donation. According to Sweeney, the behavior of the tech giants who were previously aligned with the Democrats is extremely hypocritical.
Sweeney has previously criticized Google and Apple for problems related to selling applications. The CEO has long advocated that games should be able to be sold on iPhone and Android phones without using the application stores and payment systems of technology giants.
However, Trump’s support has not been limited to Apple and Google alone. Among others, Amazon and Meta have also donated millions for inaugurations. Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has also loosened the moderation of Facebook’s content, which is considered a clear sign of the new administration’s pursuit of popularity.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has also said that he is looking forward to the new administration. Among other things, Huang wants to congratulate Trump personally and promises that Nvidia will do everything to ensure the success of the administration.
Trump himself has also noticed a change in attitude.
– During the first season, everyone fought against me. This season, everyone wants to be my friends, the future president stated in December.
