Javier Thebespresident of LaLiga, has come out against the information published today by the newspaper As in which it was ensured that there were up to nine teams that, for now, rejected CVC money. “Tremendous FAKE”the head of the body has written on his Twitter account.

Tebas accused the newspaper and the journalist who signed the news as lying. “intoxicating interest spokesmen” and that “the 38 clubs involved receive the money”.

Beyond the tweet, LaLiga later issued a statement to officially deny As’s information. “Before the article published by As, signed by Joaquín Maroto, with the title “The Madrid-Barça front opens a breach in the pact with CVC¨ , LaLiga wants to point out:

one) it is absolutely false that, as the publication affirms, nine First and Second clubs decline to receive almost 400 million from the LaLiga partner “until the judicial panorama is clarified & rdquor;

2) As has already been announced from LaLiga, the 38 Clubs adhered to LaLiga Impulso have signed the participatory loan and the 38 are working on the presentation of the business plans for the investment of the money.

3) From LaLiga Santander All the Clubs have presented the Investment Plan and received the funds, with the exception of a club that is still in the study phase of total investment in the stadium together with the City Council.

4) From LaLiga SmartBank all the Clubs have presented the Investment Plan and received the fundswith the exception of two clubs whose plans to cancel financial doubts are in the negotiation and study phase by LaLiga (the funds are not delivered until the cancellation conditions are closed).

5) No club of the 38 adhered to LaLiga Impulso has denied the investment. On the contrary, everyone remains united and committed to this plan that will help promote LaLiga as a whole. The aforementioned clubs that have not yet received payments is due to the review of the documentation.

Therefore, the content of the news published by AS is absolutely false, which once again it becomes a tool at the service of the interests of those who want to undermine the future of LaLiga for the benefit of their particular plans”.

LaLiga Group International established

In another order, La Liga Group Internationalthe new ‘holding’ in which the CVC fund has an 8.2% stake and which will be articulated by LaLiga Impulso, was established this Tuesdayreported the agency in a statement.

The consortium will develop the strategic project that unites LaLiga and the CVC investment fund and its constitution allows for a economic ‘injection’ of 220 million euros for the clubs that are part of this Impulse League. Until 298, he will be dedicated to other strategic projects promoted by the group.

This figure is the second payment since the project was launched, after that of 400 million euros that took place in mid-January. These first two financial injections, according to LaLiga reports, account for 35% of the 1,994 million euros planned for LaLiga Impulso. Thus, in July 2022 the first billion will have been deposited and “throughout 2023 and 2024 they will receive the rest of the capital, the investment of which will allow all LaLiga clubs to advance their modernization processes by 20 years.”

Of the first 400 million euros contributed, 395 are already made available to the clubs. 39% has been allocated to investments for growth, such as improvements and remodeling of stadiums and sports cities, and adaptation of facilities to television regulations. 34% is dedicated to paying off debts.
