The 61st Presidential Turkey Cycling Tour, in which 23 teams and 161 athletes from 27 countries will compete, is preparing to bring together the strongest teams and star names of world cycling in Türkiye, from Çeşme to Ankara between 26 April and 3 May. Throughout the race; By passing through 5 provinces, more than 20 districts and more than 60 settlements, Türkiye’s natural and cultural richness will be brought to the world stage.

Great journey in 8 days, 8 stages; It will start with the Çeşme-Selçuk (148.7 km) stage on April 26 and continue with Aydın-Marmaris (152.8 km) on April 27. While the first major climb will take place with the Marmaris-Kıran (132.7 km) summit finish on April 28, the Marmaris-Fethiye (130.4 km) stage will proceed along the Mediterranean coast on April 29. The fight will deepen with the 180.7 kilometer long stage stretching from Patara Ancient City to Kemer on April 30. The Antalya-Feslikan (127.9 km) Queen Stage with summit finish on May 1 will determine the general classification balance; On May 2, the Antalya-Antalya (152.8 km) stage will offer an opportunity to sprinters. The race will be completed with the Ankara-Ankara (105.2 km) final stage on May 3.

TURKISH TEAMS WILL TAKE THE STAGE

4 international continental teams representing Türkiye will be in the Presidential Türkiye Cycling Tour this year as well. In addition to Serdar Anıl Depe (SporToto), one of the rising stars of Turkish cycling, Ahmet Örken (SporToto), one of the icons and experienced names of Turkish cycling, will start for the 13th time in 2026 and become the Turkish cyclist with the most participation in the history of the TOUR. Konya Torku Şeker Spor’s athletes, Ramazan Yılmaz and Mustafa Tarakçı, who are also in the TOHM squad and have won European rostrums in track and road cycling, and Burak Abay, who represented Türkiye in the last Olympics, will compete for the general classification and classification swimsuits.

The Team Istanbul team will include Mewael Girmay, brother of world-famous Eritrean cyclist Biniam Girmay, led by 2013 Turkey Tour champion Natnael Berhane, Awet Aman, who finished second in the African Nations championship, Metkel Eyob, fourth in the general classification of the 2024 Turkey Tour, and Czech sprinter Tomas Barta, who completed the last season at the pro level.

Participating in the TOUR for the first time this year, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, Samet Bulut, Mehmet Kanat, Halil İbrahim Doğan, young pedal Arda Tekirdağ, as well as Kazakh pedal Rudolf Remkhi, who will lead the team in the sprint stages, will seek success in the first Türkiye Tour.

LEADING JERSEYS WILL CARRY IT TO THE TOP

The leader jerseys of the 61st Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye will be the symbol of the race together with their sponsors this year as well. The turquoise jersey sponsored by Türk Telekom will be given to the general classification leader, the green jersey sponsored by Spor Toto will be given to the sprinters, and the red jersey sponsored by Turkish Airlines will be given to the ‘King of the Mountains’. The white jersey, presented in cooperation with TGA – GoTürkiye, will represent the leader of the ‘Turkish Beauties’ classification. Athletes will compete for these jerseys in 8 stages and a 1,133.5 kilometer track between April 26 and May 3.
