The first teaser for “The End Of An Era” raises questions. What’s behind Taylor Swift’s tears? Fans suspect a connection to the concert cancellations in Vienna. The resolution will be available on Disney+ from December 12th
Taylor Swift’s “The Eras” tour ended just over a year ago – but the hype surrounding it continues. The reason for this is the documentary series that will appear on Disney+. A 30-second teaser serves as a preview for the first two episodes of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The End Of An Era.”
Swifties already knew that the series would consist of six episodes and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the world’s most financially successful tour. According to the artist’s own statements, it was important to focus on the development of the tour as well as her environment and the fans – who made her so big. The documentary is Swift’s attempt to explain how her concert tour was able to transform into a cultural phenomenon over its two-year run.
Exclusive insight into episodes 1 & 2
The artist introduced the teaser clip, which only aired on the news show “Good Morning America,” with the following words: “I’m thrilled to announce that you’ll get an exclusive look at the first two episodes of my documentary series ‘The End Of An Era.'”
Two scenes in particular stand out from the short video: firstly, appearances by surprise guests Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch. On the other hand, a short but emotional sequence that shows Taylor Swift crying while wiping a tear from her face. In addition to the expected snippets of tour planning, rehearsal and backstage footage, and live moments, it’s these intimate sequences that grab attention before the start of the series.
Fans now assume that the first two episodes will focus on the so-called surprise guests. Their supporters associate the emotional moment with the concert cancellations in Vienna – due to the threat of terrorism, three dates were canceled to protect everyone.

But the fan base will have to wait a little longer for the resolution: The first two episodes of the documentary series are scheduled to start on Disney+ on Friday, December 12th at 9:00 a.m. Episodes 3 & 4 as well as 5 & 6 will follow on December 19th and 26th at the same time from the same provider.
Parallel to the series, the concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show” will be released on the streaming platform. As the title suggests, it will feature the pop star’s final performance in Vancouver – including “The Tortured Poets Department” set, which only became part of the tour after the concerts in Europe.
