The rapid and recent friendship between Taylor Swift (the most famous artist of the moment) and Brittany Mahomes has raised discussion, as the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has come to the defense of her brother-in-law, Jackson, who faces charges over an incident at a bar. It should be remembered that Jackson Mahomes is Patrick’s brother, current NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion in 2023.
On November 4, the “Blank Space” singer enjoyed a night out with friends in the company of Selena Gomez, Sophie Turner, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne and, notably, Brittany Mahomes. The presence of the latter has been the center of attention at this celebrity meeting.
This connection inbetween Swift and Brittany is because the singer has recently started a relationship with Travis Kelce, friend, teammate and teammate of Mahomes on the Kansas City Chiefs. They began to see each other in the boxes of NFL stadiums, where they have starred in viral scenes on social networks celebrating their partners’ scores.

The Newsweek portal highlights an incident involving Jackson Mahomes, who was accused of repeatedly shoving a waiter before allegedly attempting a forced kiss to the owner of the Aspens establishment in Overland Park last February.
In May, the individual was arrested and faces charges of aggravated sexual assault. She subsequently appeared virtually at the Johnson County Detention Center and was released on bond, which amounted to $100,000. However, the case is still in progress.
THE CONTROVERSY
The problems have come after the publications on social networks ofe Brittany Mahomes, who defended her brother-in-law through Instagram stories in a traditional ‘questions and answers’.
“They are ignorant (…) He is a human being who is simply trying to live his life and find his way and until you walk one day in his shoes (which no one will ever do) you have no right to say shit about him,” Brittany said. “So it’s better to keep quiet,” he claimed.
As a result of this, thousands of Taylor Swift fans have questioned her friendship with Brittany, claiming that she cannot have a relationship with someone who defends someone accused of assault like this. “Taylor Swift being friends with Brittany Mahomes is probably the worst thing she has done in her career” or “Brittany Mahomes has crossed the doors of the Taylor Swift social group. I really hate it being there” were some of the messages that were published on social networks.
