Even the superheroes will be amazed! Previously, the blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home held the record for ticket sales with daily sales of $16.9 million. Now the spider has to make room – for US pop queen Taylor Swift.

Because the pre-sale for the new concert film for their current world tour “The Eras Tour” breaks all records.

According to the US cinema chain AMC, the film about Taylor Swift took 26 million dollars on the first day alone.

Taylor Swift – the pop phenomenon!

The 33-year-old singer is one of the biggest superstars in the music world. She has had more #1 albums on the US charts than any other artist.

Colorado-based independent research firm Common Sense describes Taylor Swift as an economic phenomenon: The tour could trigger $4.6 billion in consumer spending in the US – that’s more than the gross domestic product of 35 countries!

The economic impact of Swift’s concerts is so immense that even the US Federal Reserve took notice of Taylor Swift. According to her current “Beige Book”, hotels in Philadelphia benefited particularly from Swift’s concert guests in May – despite the fact that tourism was sluggish.

Hotel room prices at Taylor Swift’s tour stations have skyrocketed. The booking portal Booking.com reported that in some cities such as Pittsburgh, Minneapolis and Kansas City, prices even tripled.

Almost every hotel room in Pittsburgh was occupied. The booking platform was temporarily no longer functional due to the rush. In France, Ticketmaster also reported system crashes due to the Taylor Swift boom.

On October 13th her movie “Swiftmania” opens in the USA. For Taylor Swift, her tour is the “most meaningful experience” of her life. The singer recently warmed up her fans on social media with a short highlight video of her performances.

“The Eras Tour” started in March and will continue in Europe in May 2024 with a concert in Paris. For the German fans there are three dates to note in July 2024: Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.
