Tappara–Lukko: game tips, a surprise in the lineup

Tappara has a real surprise choice with his goal in the top game of the League.

The most interesting game of the day

Last season’s point and goal exchange winner returned after his unsuccessful NHL conquest Anton Levtchi is again in the lineup, when Tappara meets league leader Luko at home today in the battle for the top of the league. Levtchi missed the previous HIFK match, but now the star player is back on track.

Tappara is making a strong tune-up for the Lukko match by gathering the two best players of its internal point exchange as Letvch Kavere in the first chain Jori Lehterän and Veli-Matti Savinainen. Vitja has the potential to become a real super chain of the League.

However, the real composition bomb of the evening can be found in Tappara’s goal. The team’s starting goalkeeper is 20 years old Paavo Kohonen. Kohonen has so far played only one Liiga match in his career – or rather half, because he was replaced in September against Ässi in a goal in 29:10 after Ässi scored the third goal, who started at the time Vilho Heikkinen behind. Now Kohonen gets to the deep end all at once.

In addition to the absence of the first and second goalkeepers, Tappara is running out of attackers from the lineup today Otto Rauhala, Petteri Puhakka and Christian Tanus and defender Ben Thomas. Lukko is on the way with his full crew of defenders Matthew Abtia except for.

Lukko has been moving with a very slippery foot in his last matches. Last time against HIFK, the opponent was still able to prevent the team, which suffered from a lack of game feeling caused by a short break, from getting to the first-class goal posts, but last time against TPS, Lukko was already unstoppable at home, beating Turku 6–3.

The two previous meetings between Tappara and Luko this season have been the bane of Tampere. In November, Tappara claimed a 2-1 away win from Rauma, and a month ago at home, Tappara was 5-2 stronger. Worthy of attention in those Tappara victories was that the team dominated the matches also measured by expected goals (2.2–1.0 and 3.2–0.9).

It can be said that Luko has so far been surprisingly underperforming this season against Tappara. In two previous matches, Tappara has particularly succeeded in preventing Luko from getting into the goal posts. Today, too, Tappara’s ability to stop the pace of Luko’s attack plays a decisive role – especially when the goal is not Christian Heljangon brought fear.

In terms of defense, Lukko has not been particularly good in his last matches. In the five previous matches, the people of Rauma have given their opponents a goal expectation of more than 14 goals.

Tappara–Lukko starts at 18:30.

The best betting tip of the day

In terms of betting, Veikkaus’ coefficient scale (actual game time 2.14/3.90/2.96) for the Tappara–Lukko match is quite right. However, I have a feeling that I am more in favor of Lukko here. Likewise, regarding the number of goals in the match, I am in favor of a match with more goals than Veikkaus by Napsu. Tappara has even been surprisingly generous in his last matches; over 4.5 goals have been scored in their previous eight consecutive matches with a goal average of 5.9 goals per game.

As the best bet for the match, I raise the 1.73 odds offered over 4.5 goals.

Games of the day: Tappara–Lukko, more than 4.5 goals (coefficient 1.73).
