One thing Tapani Kansa was once sure. He never intended to perform again.

– Not really. Sometimes I thought I’d retire at the age of 60. It stretched for a couple of decades. Now I wonder how the world’s stars are still able to pull as they leak and droop. Still, you still have to stumble upon the stage, the people were amazed.

– In my opinion, it doesn’t make sense if you have made such a good career, like I do, where the qualifying for singing has been at a very high level, you should not go there in a situation where you can’t practice it in the same way. What is the point of ruining everything after finishing?

The people were proud to end his career with dignity.

What would you like the Finns to remember you after over 50 years of career?

– It’s sober and fair, no shaking does not swing.

In 2018, Tapani Kansa remembered the early days of his career to Iltalehti.
