Tam is back with a new track: “Trip” will be available on all common streaming platforms from Friday (April 11th) – and promises to become a Summer Favorite. The song was written and performed by Tam and the singer and rapper Nomé. The track was produced by Leon Pock Aka Odyle, which has created an atmospheric sound with dreamy synths and light -footed beats.
The artist from Berlin had already attracted attention with her debut single “Why You Wanna” in 2021. With “Reflections” she published the second single from her EP of the same name in 2023. Tam, with a full name Tamara Güçlü, combines neo-soul, R&B and hip-hop elements with a very own storytelling in her music, which is characterized by her cultural roots and personal experiences.
What awaits us
“Trip” is a personal song about balancing between internal conflicts and external pressure – the breaking of old patterns and the need for self -empowerment. It describes a feeling that many should know: the desire to throw old loads and continue their own way with a clear look. With “Trip” Tam again proves her feel for strong melodies and deep texts. More about Tam
Her musical career started Tamara Güçlü in music, but in journalism. After her traineeship at the MusikExpress in 2015, the artist from Ludwigsburg switched to Red Bull, where she worked as an artist manager. In doing so, she learned how songs arise from the first idea to the finished recording. A rheumatism disease forced her in 2019 for a one-year break. She used this time to reflect and started trying out as a musician after her recovery. In spring 2020 she started working on her own songs.
