‘Talpa must protect Linda de Mol from herself’

Linda de Mol must be protected from herself by her employer Talpa now that she continues to beat herself up so hysterically. Media watcher Harry Vermeegen thinks so.

It has become painfully clear in the past nine months that Linda de Mol absolutely cannot deal with criticism. It is in particular the popular AD columnist Angela de Jong who has to pay for it. Last Sunday, Linda even went so far as to have a fictional version of Angela crash in her new drama series Five Live.

‘Talpa is a dredging company’

This woman really needs to be protected against herself, according to media watcher Harry Vermeegen. He thinks Talpa should make sure Linda stays in line. “Here you see another example of how annoying and bad that dredging company Talpa is. With an annoying management.”

Talpa must protect Linda, Harry thinks. “Take it from me that a lot of people saw that episode of Five Live. And then there is not one with sense there, who then says during such a viewing session: ‘Well, I don’t think this is a good idea. No, that scene about that Angela has to go! No, that won’t do you any good, Linda.’”

Mean Linda

Harry doesn’t understand why Talpa doesn’t intervene. “They should have said, ‘You make viewers angry with that. The viewers don’t want to know that mean side of you. That’s completely off the mark, we’re not going to do that.’ But he didn’t get up at Talpa. No one at Talpa has said: ‘Oh no, that scene is going out!’ No, leave it alone.”

He continues: “In fact, I think they all had a good laugh there. They did that at Talpa. Oh, how they like it! And no one probably dares to say anything to Linda. The consequence? Then you get this kind of trouble. And that’s all because of Talpa! Poor Linda.”
