Tallon Greek Spoor wins doubles tournament in Dubai

Tallon Greekpoor won the title at the Dubai ATP tournament with his German doubles partner Jan-Lennard Struff. The 27-year-old tennis player from Nieuw-Vennep won the final with Struff after a super tiebreak against Ivan Dodig from Croatia and the American Austin Krajicek: 6-4, 4-6 (10-6).

Greekpoor and Struff won the first set with a break at 4-4. In the second set, the Croat and American managed to level the score by winning the serve against Greek Spoor and Struff at 5-4. In the final super tiebreak, the Dutchman and German took a small lead and held on to it well.

It is Greekspor’s second title in doubles. In 2022, he won the doubles title at the Antwerp ATP tournament with compatriot Botic van de Zandschulp. In the singles, Greek track lost earlier this week against Aleksandr Boeblik from Kazakhstan.
