The Taliban have banned the British news channel BBC and the American news channel Voice of America from broadcasting news intended for Afghan media. The BBC reported on Sunday that their broadcasts in Persian, Uzbek and Pashtu had been taken off the air in Afghanistan. The Taliban would also have ordered local partners of the BBC to remove international broadcasters from the airwaves.
