While most people from Brabanders are still busy with the sewing machine and ironing emblems, the festival of parties in Wouwse Plantage has long since started. Traditionally, the first carnival parade of Brabant drives through the streets in Mastepinnelaand.
The motto of the first procession of the year is ‘We Staon Op Springe’. Hundreds of people admire the procession in which 28 building clubs, groups, couples and individuals participate in this year.
Of the participants there are no fewer than ten large cars. The construction clubs come from the entire region, from Putte to Dinteloord and Klundert. They are ready for carnival and want to show their latest creation.
