FITA has achieved first place in the global ranking of Member National Associations, drawn up by World Taekwondo. A recognition that certifies the solidity and quality of the Italian federal model on a global scale
The Italian Taekwondo Federation rises to the top of the world. FITA takes first place in the global ranking of Member National Associations drawn up by World Taekwondo, surpassing 215 national federations with a score of 80.5 out of 100. The ranking is based on five parameters – governance, participation, performance, events and sustainability – and provides a complete snapshot of the solidity of a federation. Not just medals, therefore, but structure, vision and development capacity. Behind Italy are the United States, France, Great Britain and South Korea.

FITA’s primacy is even more significant if we consider the global dimension of the discipline, which has over 80 million practitioners. “I am happy for the entire Italian taekwondo movement and proud of those who work every day for these results, from the organizational to the technical sector”, declared the federal president Angelo Cito, who then also wanted to thank the Ministry of Sport, CONI and Sport and Health for their support. Taekwondo Italy thus confirms itself as an international point of reference, capable of combining sporting results and the solidity of the federal model.
