The VZV handball players were first in club history yesterday champion of the Netherlands By winning with 34-30. “By working very hard with each other we have achieved this. We have fought for this for 75 years,” says the enthusiastic Irene Klaver. The club from ‘t Veld was founded in 1948.
Sticky floor after champion party
A day after the champion party, it was mainly to clean up in the canteen of VZV. The floor still sticks from the beer and canteen manager Ali van den Berg is busy with a mop. “My voice is still hoarse,” he says. “It was a fierce party. I have experienced many parties, but never like one as yesterday.”
