Symba announces his audio book “Tomorrow it will be better”: three teenagers, a summer in Berlin, autobiographical influences. All information about the project.
The rapper Symba released his EP “Briefe aus Berlin” on May 7th – his first major release since the album “Liebe & Hass”, which was released in 2024.
He has now announced that he will also be active outside of music: an audio book is planned, which he wrote and recorded himself.
Growing up in the city
The audio book is called “It will be better tomorrow” and is about three young people. The boys come from different cultural circles and social backgrounds, as Symba explained in the podcast with Aria Nejati: One boy is Turkish, the other is German-Dutch, and one has a black father. The audio book follows the characters over a summer.
Symba says about the storyline: “On the one hand, it’s fictional, so I just made a lot of things up. But they’re still based on things that I definitely know, that happened to me or to people around me in Berlin.”
The story deals with one’s own path and the meaning of life – especially at a young age in the big city. The book is also designed to be critical: Symba addresses injustice and the school system in Germany.
Audio book instead of a book
Symba justifies the fact that the work is published as an audio book and not as a book because he is happy when people hear him speak. The audio book was actually supposed to be released already – it is now planned for the fall. The rapper did not give an exact date in the interview.
Fans react consistently positively on Instagram. “I’m happy Bro” and “I’m excited” are written under the post. Symba has not yet announced the project on his own Instagram channel – there he is currently still in the promotional phase for the new EP. Fans are eagerly waiting for more news.
