Sylvie Meis ensures crooked toes with congratulatory video: ‘So cringe!’

Sylvie Meis ensures crooked toes with a video in which she congratulates her 16-year-old son Damián. She seems more concerned with creating the perfect Instagram post than with her kid.

Hot air is a bit Sylvie Meis’ middle name† Her Instagram feed is pretty much the opposite of authenticity, and so are her friends and family. In fact, she even expects her own son Damián to walk a bit in Instagram fashion. And that produces uncomfortable images.

Cringe and creepy

Sylvie congratulates her son Damián on his sixteenth birthday in a post on Instagram. It’s a typical ‘how can I make this about me’ moment: mother Sylvie takes everything shine in her white dress and when Damián threatens to assume a wrong pose, he almost literally gets a slap on the fingers (see below).

It arouses a lot of surprise among the people. “Siri, what does a directed video of Sylvie congratulating her son look like? I have found the next CRINGE for you,” Stylistologist van de Sterren tweeted.

Mustache: “Creepy.”

fake crying

Patrick cynically: “Not cringe at all. In fact, every time my son comes home from school, I put on the same dress and welcome him home in exactly the same way while this is being filmed by the neighbor.”

And Roland teasingly: “Give me a hug… No, not like that! Otherwise it will not look good on camera. Wait, if you can just- NOHEE, just do as I tell you, it will look the best for the picture. Yes, exactly. And now look like this is an emotional moment. Can you fake crying?”

‘Very sorry’

Many people wonder how Sylvie asks her son about this. Hoezee: “I wonder how this came about. “Well Damian, then we’ll stand there, me like this and you like this and then you put your arms there and your head here and then we give a hug.” I think I’ll spend a day talking to my son in a shirt. That will not work and further… Well, never mind.”

And Shadow: “Too bad it’s all about the outside world and not about a mother’s love for her son.”
