Sydney Sweeney on appearing in Rolling Stones clip: “I felt hot”

The Rolling Stones are accused of objectifying Sweeney in the “Angry” clip – she defends herself against it.

After the release of the “Angry” music video in September, critical voices were repeatedly raised on social media: The Rolling Stones were turning the actress into an object with the sexually connoted portrayal of Sydney Sweeney in the clip. In the video, the “Euphoria” actress can be seen in skimpy clothing, being driven around in a red convertible and also likes to lounge along the side of the car. Now the 26-year-old is speaking out about the allegations.

“It made me feel so good”

Specifically, Sweeney wears black studded chaps and a leather corset in the music video for the first single from HACKNEY DIAMONDS. Dancing in the back seat of the vehicle, she is driven through Los Angeles. In addition to sexual objectification, the actress was also accused of anti-feminism on the Internet. But Sydney Sweeney explained in an interview with “Glamour” that she would see the clip scenes with herself primarily as statements for body positivity and empowerment. “I think that your own body can be incredibly empowering. Feeling comfortable in your body is sexy and powerful, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. All the moves, everything I did in the video was freestyle and I felt so good doing it,” she said.

“I felt hot,” the American continued to say about how she felt during the shoot in combination with the clothes she had on her skin – after all, she had chosen the outfit herself.
