The Schilthornbahn has been open in Switzerland since last week. This cable car connects the village of Stechelberg with Mürren, just over 500 meters away as the crow flies, but 775 meters higher. This section, part of the cable car that now runs from Stechelberg to the top of the Schiltborn, is the steepest cable car in the world.
