Swiss outdoor brand for children expands to Germany

The children’s outdoor brand Namuk is expanding to Germany and Austria.

After a successful start in Switzerland, the brand, founded in 2016, is now available in the entire DACH region, Namuk announced on Thursday. In Germany, the brand is available not only from its own online shop, but also from retailers such as Breuninger, Globetrotter and Engelhorn.

“Thanks to technically innovative products made from sustainable materials, we help children to spend as much time as possible in nature. Because Namuk meets the highest demands in terms of functionality and durability and still impresses with style,” said Namuk founder Franz Bittmann. “The expansion to Germany and Austria follows the successful brand development in Switzerland. Our goal is to become the most important global outdoor brand for children.”

Namuk is aimed at children up to the age of twelve and relies on sustainable materials. This includes the PrimaLoft fibre, which is made from recycled synthetic fibres.

To ensure that the jackets can also be passed on to the next generation, three labels are sewn in that offer space for several children’s names. Other features of the products are reflective seams, an overall connection for jackets and trousers that is intended to protect against the ingress of moisture, and a special zipper that is intended to make it easier for children to go to the toilet.
