Swimming, pole vaulting and more: the highlights of Friday’s finals

Swimming: Märtens, Gose and Elendt in the water

There are ten more finals in swimming in Berlin. Magdeburg’s Lukas Märtens (100 meters backstroke) and Isabel Gose (400 meters freestyle) as well as Anna Elendt from Frankfurt (100 meters breaststroke) fight for the German title. The three DSV hopes will also start at the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, which begin next week. Athletics: pole vault in Dusseldorf

The track and field athletes complete only one competition. In Düsseldorf, the pole vaulters around Vice European Champion Bo Kanda Lita Baehre (Leverkusen) will crown the German champion on the banks of the Rhine. All other German championships in athletics will be held in Kassel at the weekend.

Taekwondo: Eight Finals

BMX, climbing and basketball start

On Friday, the competitions will also start in a few other sports. In Duisburg, the BMX cyclists compete against each other in the landscape park north in the park and flatland disciplines.
