In the men’s 100 meter freestyle, Sean Niewold reached the semi-finals. He clocked a time of 47.74 and that was enough to qualify. Thom de Boer and Kenzo Simons did not start because they wanted to focus on the relay.
Tessa Giele qualified for the semi-finals in the women’s 50 meter butterfly. She came second in the series with a time of 25.45. The Dutch team reached the final in the 4 x 50 meter freestyle mixed. The foursome, consisting of Jesse Puts, Brandon van den Berg, Kira Toussaint and Valerie van Roon, qualified with the fifth fastest time.
The semi-finals and finals are on Saturday afternoon.
