COPENHAGEN/STOCKHOLM (dpa-AFX) – Sweden and Denmark want to send anti-tank weapons and other equipment to Ukraine. This was announced by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Copenhagen and Sweden’s Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson in Stockholm on Sunday. For Denmark it is the first time in the recent past that weapons are being sent to a war region. The country wants to donate up to 2,700 anti-tank missiles. “Ukraine can use these weapons to defend itself against lightly armored vehicles,” said Frederiksen. In addition to 5,000 anti-tank missiles, Sweden also wants to provide 135,000 field rations and thousands of helmets and other protective equipment./cmy/DP/he
