SV Sandhausen introduces Pink as a new striker – Boyd transfer apparently off the table

“Already a candidate last winter”

SV Sandhausen has presented the desired reinforcement for the attack and signed striker Markus Pink. The 32-year-old has been out of contract since the beginning of the year after his contract with Chinese first division club Shanghai Port ended. Sandhausen is the Austrian’s first stop in Germany. So far, apart from China, he has only been active in his home country; he played the most games (123) for SV Mattersburg.

“We are happy that we were able to sign Pinki after he was already a candidate in Sandhausen in the last winter transfer window. He is a striker who knows where the goal is,” explained sports director Matthias Imhof. Coach Jens Keller added: “Markus runs intensively, holds the ball well and is very accurate – he was already able to prove that in Austria.” And Pink himself said: “I would like to make friends as quickly as possible and get to know the team . I see a lot of potential in the club, I’m attracted by the sporting challenge of promotion – that’s why I decided on SV Sandhausen.”

Pink’s arrival is likely to mean the end of the courtship for Kaiserslautern’s Terrence Boyd. How “Sports1“ reported that the third division team has quit poker. It is now more likely that the 32-year-old will be transferred to Waldhof Mannheim. However, the prerequisite for this is that the “Red Devils” arch-rival does not have to pay anything.
