SV Rumbeke promotes to 3rd amateur after 2-1 win against Linden

The opening goal came early in the game. An attacking Rumbeke grabbed the Flemish Brabant team by the throat: Woodruff scored the 1-0 beautifully, on the initiative of star player Vanfleteren. However, that fell out after 20 minutes of play, a big downer for Rumbeke. Despite some good chances, the halftime score was 1-0.

Rumbeke also started enthusiastically in the second half. Dumoulin comes close to a goal a few times, but it is captain Jens Kindt who can eventually kick the 2-0 against the nets. Twenty minutes from the end, Somers made the connection goal for VK Linden.

The home team kept their cool and won 2-1. Rumbeke will advance to the national series next season.
