“As a club, we are shocked by the reporting about the cross-border behavior of Marc Overmars,” says SV Epe in a statement. “Our condolences go out to the victims of these devastating events. In light of these developments, the board of SV Epe has decided not to let the Marc Overmars Easter Tournament 2022 continue. His name will no longer be associated with the international Easter tournament in the future. His behavior is not in line with the standards and values that the club promotes.”
Overmars, a former international, played football at SV Epe in his youth.
