Suzan & Freek will be playing as Ambassadors of Freedom at the Liberation Festival Drenthe this year. The duo has been around since 2019 and is known for the songs ‘Als Het Avond Is’ and ‘Blauwe Dag’.
On Thursday 5 May they will fly with a helicopter for a performance to stages in North Holland, Flevoland, Drenthe and Friesland. In Drenthe they play from 19:15 to 20:00 on the RTV Drenthe Main Stage in Assen.
“Our message is that refugees are people like you and me, it can happen to anyone,” says Freek. “Based on this experience, we want to tell you on May 5 that everyone should have the same opportunities. Freedom is for everyone, don’t own it.”
