A suspicious package was found at a house on Noordererf in Dussen on Friday evening. Emergency services responded en masse. It is now clear that it is probably a powder letter.
Defense specialists secured the package in protective clothing. A substance released from the package has also been collected for further investigation. What exactly was in the letter is still under investigation.
People who may have come into contact with the substance were decontaminated on site by the fire brigade. The fire brigade scaled up considerably and deployed, among other things, a care container and a command and consultation container.
Earlier in the evening, several emergency services came to the home, including the hazardous materials team. Two ambulances were also ready. The resident was examined in an ambulance, but his condition has not been released.
The emergency services are still in consultation about the further development of the deployment and are considering whether it can be scaled down.
