The body was discovered shortly after noon in an apartment in Granietstraat. Emergency services arrived on the scene, but could do nothing other than confirm the man’s death. The police and public prosecutor’s office then started an investigation and were able to arrest a suspect. It concerns the victim’s girlfriend, who lives in the same building.
“An autopsy will take place today as part of the investigation,” the public prosecutor’s office said. Based on these results, the investigating judge will decide whether or not the woman will be arrested.
