The two suspects in a violent robbery of a visitor to the Fonnefeesten in the Oude Bruglaan have been identified. The investigation notice that the federal police distributed on Monday is therefore not without results.
Made unrecognizable, victim Tony, a man in his sixties from Waasmunster, told his story in front of the camera of TV Oost. He was hit after a night out at the Fonnefeesten on the night of August 10 to 11 on his way back to his car.

“Halfway along the Oude Bruglaan I was kicked and fell to the ground. Someone started kicking my face and ribs. I was able to get back up, but that man started attacking me again. I fell again and was unconscious. Then someone came back to take a wallet out of my pocket.”
Crooked lower jaw
The man suffered several injuries. “They left me for dead. My nose bone was broken, my lower jaw was completely crooked. I have two broken ribs, a collapsed lung. I have not yet fully recovered, because I still have no feeling in part of my face and my hearing is also partially gone.”
So the two young people in their twenties have been found. More information will not be distributed for the time being in the interest of the investigation.
