Thanks to an investigation message and international cooperation, the vehicle of the suspects could be intercepted on Tuesday 26 August at 9.30 pm on the A2 near Skierniewice, about 80 kilometers from the Polish capital Warsaw. These are Russians aged 33 and 45 years, who, according to the West-Flemish public prosecutor, work for a transport company.
A few days later, the court in Lodz ruled that both suspects may be delivered to Belgium. The 45-year-old suspect will be handed over this week.
After interrogation by the West-Flemish Federal Judicial Police (FGP), the Russian will be brought before the suspicion of murder at the Bruges investigating judge. Opposite the Polish police, the forties would have already made confessions. The 33-year-old suspect is still opposed to his tradition for the time being.
