Kevin Volland changes the club in the summer: The former national player returns to his training association 1860 Munich after 13 years from Union Berlin.

On Easter Monday, TSV 1860 Munich announced the transfer hammer. Kevin Volland, ex-international and Löwen’s owner, returns to Giesing. The 32-year-old changes from Bundesliga club Union Berlin to the 1960s in the summer. Both clubs announced this on Monday. Accordingly, Union Berlin agreed to end “the time together in summer”.

For Volland “a circle closes”

“For me, the return to Grünwalder Straße closes a circle,” says Volland in the Löwen-Massung: “I switched from Thannhausen to Munich at the time and after the time in the offspring at TSV 1860 I got the chance to get into professional football. I am pleased to be able to pay back this trust in me and to give everything again at my heart club.”

From 1860 to the DFB team

In 2007, the then 18-year-old attacker of coach Reiner Maurer was substituted in the second division game at FC Augsburg and made his debut in the blue and white jersey. He played a total of 60 times in the 2nd Bundesliga and in the DFB Cup for Munich, scored 20 goals and 15 assists.

After his time at TSV 1860 Munich, the 15-time international player in Germany played at TSG Hoffenheim, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, AS Monaco and Union Berlin. Volland can look back on 276 Bundesliga games, 86 games of the French Ligue 1, 21 games of the Europa League and 17 games of the Champions League.

Most recently, Volland, also due to injuries, got on the siding at Union Berlin. In the iron, the right foot came to 36 missions in two years (five goals). Now his career is supposed to pick up speed again at the lions – where she started.
