Dallas Stars is making a surprising but familiar head coach choice.
Sportsnet reporter Elliote Friedman According to the club is close to the agreement Glen Gulutzan with. Gulutzan also served as Stars head coach in 2011-2013.
Gulutzan, 53, moves to Dallas after seven years spent in the Edmonton Oilers, where he served as an assistant coach. In the Oilers coaching team, Gulutzan was involved in bringing the club to as many as two consecutive Stanley Cup finals.
Stars is looking for a new direction after Pete Deboer got fired. Deboer’s three -year wash ended with the club once again excluded from the Stanley Cup finals.
Gulutzan’s former Pesti as head coach of Stars did not bring a playoff game success, and he was allowed to leave after two seasons in 2013.
Finnish players were hockey in the Stars in the past season Miro Heiskanen, Esa Lindell, Mikko Rantanen, Mikael Granlund and Roope Hintz.
