The two top favorites David Ferrer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga surprisingly missed the final of the tennis tournament in Auckland, New Zealand. Spain’s number one seed Ferrer lost to American Jack Sock 6-3, 1-6, 2-6. Frenchman Tsonga, number two on the seed list in Auckland, was beaten by Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 4-6. In the second round, Tsonga eliminated German number one Philipp Kohlschreiber.
