Deutsche Vermögensberatung knows how to use at least its own money. Or, more boring: Robbie Williams is for sale. Or, fan service: King Charles wasn’t the only British royality on a quick state visit this week. Or: The hard-working conference of thousands of insurance employees quickly turned into a small sensation.

But from the beginning: Last Tuesday (March 28) Robbie Williams played a concert in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, which was a complete surprise. After all, he only visited the venue in February and, according to the plan of his current tour, should have been somewhere between Lisbon and Tel Aviv at that time.

In addition, a “technical company conference” by Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) took place on the same day. About 13,000 employees from the finance department showed up to share the intricacies of investing. Helene Fischer was to appear as the highlight of the event. Like actually on the previous six days, when she almost had a residency in Cologne during this year’s tour of Germany.

However, the 38-year-old suffered a rib fracture in a rehearsal accident on March 19 and had to postpone all dates of her tour as well as this unofficial one. CEO Andreas Pohl and his team have been looking for a replacement for the past two weeks and have found Robbie Williams. His surprise concert is said to have lasted about an hour. Those present were reportedly enthusiastic.

Williams’ “XXV” tour continues until August 27th. Recently it was announced that Williams wanted to release two solo albums and a project with his new electro band Lufthaus this year.

In a different yet same world, this could have been the moment to bring one of the most exciting features of the post-Brexit era to full life.
