Surinamese Public Prosecution Service: Bouterse died of liver failure due to alcohol abuse

Surinamese ex-president Desi Bouterse died of a ‘complication of liver failure due to severe liver fibrosis, caused by chronic alcohol use’, according to the autopsy report of the pathologist, the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service reported in a press release on Saturday.
