Last weekend, Suriname said goodbye to former president Desi Bouterse. For some he was a folk hero, for others above all a murderer. He has always divided the Surinamese population. Correspondent Nina Jurna wonders whether this will also be the case after his death. Will Bouterse’s spirit continue to haunt Suriname?
