A very strong Mathieu van der Poel won Dwars door Vlaanderen on Wednesday. In the sprint he defeated Tiesj Benoot. Van der Poel is one of the big favorites for cycling classic Ronde van Vlaanderen on Sunday.
It is the second time that Van der Poel wins Dwars door Vlaanderen. He previously did that in 2019. The competition counts as a general for Sunday’s High Mass.
