“Supernatural” actor Chris Gauthier is dead

The actor died unexpectedly at the age of 48.

Chris Gauthier is dead. The mime was known for his roles in science fiction series such as “Supernatural,” “Smallville” and “Once Upon a Time.” It has now been confirmed that he died on February 23rd at the age of 48.

“His loss is felt not only by his fans, but also by those who were fortunate enough to know him personally,” the actor’s rep told TVline. According to his manager, the cause of death was “a short illness.” This also came unexpectedly for friends and family. Gauthier is survived by his wife Erin and his two sons Ben and Sebastian.

Series colleagues remember the actor

Colin O’Donoghue dedicated an Instagram post to his former Once Upon A Time colleague. “Rest in peace, Chris. My heart is broken. My love and thoughts go out to Erin and the children. You’ll be missed, brother. You were the real captain,” he writes.

Chris Gauthier was most recently in front of the camera for the 2021 Christmas film “The Christmas House 2”. His last guest appearance on a series was in 2017’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, in which he appeared for two episodes.
