Sofia Goggia is there: third podium in three races with the success and second place of Beaver and the third today, in the super-G in St. Moritz won by the Austrian Huetter ahead of Lara Gut. And Italy shines with 4 athletes in the top six: Elena Curtoni (increasingly confident), Federica Brignone and Laura Pirovano finish behind Goggia. Sofia Goggia collects the 96th podium of her career, with some regrets for a final in which she lost her entire advantage. “St. Moritz is always a difficult super-G – comments Sofia to Rai microphones -. There are many waves, bumps and blind spots. I didn’t ski very well, I was more tense than in Beaver. It’s not a bad performance, but not a very good one either. Three races, three podiums is not bad how I skied today… let’s say I have a margin.”
Lindsay here again

After the bronze in super-G at the World Championships in Are, on 10 February 2019, Vonn had to end a career halted by a long series of accidents and injuries. In the spring she underwent surgery to place a prosthesis on her right knee, Lindsey tried skiing and decided to try again. It started with the 31st, after a meticulous reconnaissance. She faced the traps set by the Italian coach of the French, Marco Viale, never gave the impression of taking risks and is 14th at 1″18 with two top partials and two calmer ones.

The competition began with Laure Gauche’s bad fall on the final jump, the other Frenchwoman Miradoli also out. In the 10th the Olympian Ledecka returns (seventh with Macuga at 75/100), Puchner confirms herself (ninth at 76/100), then Suter at 80/100 ahead of Marta Bassino, who was in line with the podium until last partial. Thirteenth is another Italian, Roberta Melesi (at 1″01).
“I suffered, instead of going to look for the doors, I was in time in two points – is the comment of a Brignone who is not satisfied -. It makes me angry, I can’t do what I would like”. Laura Pirovano is sixth: “Who knows if one day I’ll be able to take that step forward. It’s already gone better than in Beaver, let’s hope to continue like this”.
