A sign against immigration: The “All American Half Time Show” wants to celebrate US values
Erika Kirk, the widow of the murdered right-wing extremist and Trump supporter Charlie Kirk, is planning a parallel event to the Super Bowl halftime show together with the conservative right-wing populist non-profit organization Turning Point USA. The “All American Half Time Show” is intended to provide a counterpoint to the performance of the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny.

The NFL and Apple Music’s decision to have Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny, become the first Hispanic solo act to perform at the Super Bowl in February 2026 sparked discussions in conservative circles about the American integrity of the event. Turning Point USA has not yet announced a venue or further details, including whether the counter-event will be broadcast. What is clear, however, is that the organization wants to use the show to celebrate traditional values such as “faith, family and freedom”. It is one of the biggest announcements since Erika Kirk took over as head of the NPO following her husband’s death.
The heavy criticism of his performance did not go unnoticed by Bad Bunny. During his Oct. 4 appearance as SNL host, he responded sarcastically to the backlash: “I’m performing at halftime of the Super Bowl and I’m very happy about it,” he said to applause. “And I think everyone is very happy about it. Even Fox News.”
